I was taking photos of defects (like mould), but decided to do one for myself too.

This blackberry was picked by low paid workers in Guatemala, then cleaned, packed, and transported to the airport. After a few thousand miles, it would have reached Heathrow, where it was loaded on to a lorry and driven down to Kent.
This particular one ended up in my kitchen, quite close to the warehouse, but normally they'd be sent to a central distribution depot in another lorry, and then eventually transported to the supermarket.
You and I buy them from the supermarket, take them home, possibly eat half of them, and then throw the rest in the bin.

Would you ever in a million years think of buying your food directly from a farmer in Central America, pay to have it shipped all the way over here, and then throw half of it in the bin!!!
